I can breathe again - I'm done being Light Board Operator for the BUP production of Deadman's Cellphone. It was... interesting.
I say this from a playwright's perspective, and entirely focused on the script and not the production - Sara Ruhl, what were you thinking? Honestly. I've tried to interpret it a dozen different ways, and none make complete and full sense of the items in the play. Good lord. I dunno. Not my cup of tea, unless someone can explain to me what it all meant...
So, we're done with that! *wipes hands clean* On to more projects! The nice thing about being involved in the show was that it got me off my ass and doing things. For instance, my new monologe "PB&J For All" (working title) is typed up and in the process of being edited/prepped for Theatre Forum. The lovely Jaryn Wilcox will be reading it - take a look at her personal website here.
I've also written half of a new ten-minute, currently nameless. I hope to start work anew on that as soon as I'm content with PB&J monologue. And after that, I'm chocked full of things to throw into "Train Pirates", my first book in an intended series of young-adult fantasy books. Been a while since I hit the long fiction field, but it feels all warm and fuzzy. Me like.
