Guess who's gonna be walking the catwalk in late June? Yeah. All you avid followers have to come watch, it's for charity!
I'm actually terribly excited for it - I'm not getting paid or anything, but having some credits like this is always helpful. Not to mention... well, I'm not the most girly of girls, but I wouldn't say no to doing something like this. It's nice to feel all pretty every once in a while. :D
Now, on to a more appropriate (and equally intriguing) topic - Charles Mee.

Never heard of him? I hadn't. However, I tend to be rather in the dark about some things until they're stuck under my nose. I was told that I should look into doing a monologue from his play, Big Love, because it had a good deal of great monologues. And... all his plays were free to view.
Say wha now? Yes, free. This, ladies and gents, fascinated me. Plus, I read most any play I can get my hands on, and my grubby little hands like free things the best. I'm still in the process of trying to figure out how he goes about making this all free. Does he charge for having it performed? I'm not sure. His website can be a taaaaaad difficult to navigate, at times. If anyone knows/finds out, lemme know. Curious mind, that's me.
I'm in the middle of reading Big Love as we speak. Pretty good - not big on his style, but the content is terribly touching and thought provoking. Seems like the constantly monologue-ing would get repetitive fast, but it's enjoyable to read. People throw themselves on the ground. A lot. Repeatedly, actually. Maybe it's a Greek/Italian thing...?
So that's my lot for today. If anybody knows anything more about Mr. Charles Mee, do let me know.
